James M. Knott, Sr.

Founder

James Knott Sr. founded Riverdale Mills Corporation, one of the largest manufacturers and distributors of welded wire mesh in the world, and is the inventor and first patent holder of the plastic coated wire lobster trap.  Knott revolutionized the lobster fishing industry in 1980 with the introduction of Aquamesh®, an innovative marine-grade mesh wire specifically designed and engineered for ocean use. Aquamesh is considered the industry standard material for lobster traps.

Prior to founding Riverdale Mills, James was president of Coatings Engineering Corporation, the largest custom coating company in the world, for over 20 years.

Mr. Knott received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Harvard University, an Honorary Doctorate of Science degree from the University of Maine, and completed the Owner/President Management Program at Harvard Business School. In addition, James has been awarded several other patents for coating processes and wire mesh products, and was honored for his service in the United States Army.

Chief Executive Officer

James M. Knott, Jr. has worked in a variety of positions at Riverdale Mills since the company started. A multitalented senior executive, Knott’s financial, technical, and operational expertise has proven invaluable as Riverdale Mills transitioned from a small start-up to an internationally recognized leader in the wire industry.

In addition James is the founder of Knott & Co., a Massachusetts-based, international consulting firm specializing in the steel and metal industries.  The company advises public and privately held companies, particularly those focused on heavy and capital equipment manufacturing during all stages of growth.

Mr. Knott received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Sociology from Boston University and completed the Owner/President Management Program at Harvard Business School.

Deb Krikorian

Chief Financial Officer

Deb Krikorian is responsible for overseeing the strategic financial planning for Riverdale Mills.  She provides leadership in the development and continuous evaluation of the short and long-term strategic financial objectives to preserve the company assets and ensure the company’s future.

Ms. Krikorian brings a wealth of experience in corporate finance and risk management having previously served as CFO/Corporate Controller for Walker Magnetics Group, a leading designer and manufacturer of electro-permanent magnetic products and systems for industrial applications.  She received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Master of Business Administration from Bentley University
