Riverdale Mills Corp. Earns National Award for Visionary Leadership

Acknowledged for Distinction and Excellence in Manufacturing

Northbridge, MA – March 15, 2019 – Riverdale Mills Corporation, global manufacturer of premium-quality welded wire mesh, has earned a 2019 Manufacturing Leadership Award from the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM).

The Manufacturing Leadership Council (MLC) of NAM has selected Riverdale Mills CEO James M. Knott, Jr. for one of its coveted Manufacturing Leadership Awards in the Visionary Leadership category.

According to NAM, the MLC Awards honor organizations and individuals shaping the future of global manufacturing. Winners represent a wide range of manufacturing enterprises, all of which leverage best-in-class processes and technologies.

“By embracing new technologies and bold ideas, these leaders are redefining the meaning of manufacturing excellence and demonstrating the transformative power of Manufacturing 4.0,” said David R. Northbridge, Mass. – August 18, 2018 – Riverdale Mills Corporation announces with great sadness the passing of company founder, owner, and retired CEO James Knott, Sr. Mr. Knott was 88.

Boston, MA – September 19, 2016 – Riverdale Mills Corporation has received a Global Trade Award by the Associated Industries of Massachusetts International Business Council (AIM-IBC). The award recognizes Massachusetts’ companies that “demonstrate excellence in international trade and set the standard for global business.”

Northbridge, MA – January 14, 2016 – Riverdale Mills Corporation has earned the USDA-certified BioPreferred Product Label for its MarineMax™ wire coatings. MarineMax is a fusible PVC powder coating made from renewable plant based materials compounded with thermoplastic resins and a range of special additives. The coating can be used on a variety of ferrous and non-ferrous metal substrates including carbon and galvanized steel. MarineMax is manufactured at Riverdale Mills’ Northbridge, MA headquarters.

Northbridge, MA – September 23, 2015 — Riverdale Mills revolutionized the lobster fishing industry when founder James Knott, Sr. created Aquamesh, a first of its kind marine-grade welded wire mesh fabric designed specifically to create a more durable lobster trap for New England lobstermen. Thirty-five years later, over 80% of all lobster traps in the U.S. are built with Aquamesh.
