Plant Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Lead all maintenance and engineering activity in a multishift production facility to deliver reliable equipment performance, facility maintenance, and asset improvements.
  • Coordinate activities with management to review planned maintenance, projects, objectives, timelines, and communications within the plant.
  • Perform research, design projects within financial and operational scope, and implement these projects, or sub-sets of complex projects.
  • Acts as the principal site resource for CMMS system and is responsible for the overall asset management, work planning, and spare part inventory.
  • Develop a high performing maintenance team by providing regular training and coaching and developing Process Engineers and Maintenance Technicians through hands-on coaching.
  • Deliver and support cost saving initiatives to accomplish productivity targets.
  • Support and participate in driving reliability and safety initiatives through root cause analysis, idea generation and task execution.
  • Process safety stewardship in all aspects; change management, hazard analysis and abnormal situation management.
  • Provide mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests and ensures operation of machinery by completing preventive maintenance requirements by following diagrams, sketches, manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications and troubleshooting malfunctions.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with site level Environmental and OSHA procedures, rules, and regulations.

Plant Engineer Education and Experience:

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 10 + years of experience leading engineering and maintenance teams in a manufacturing environment.
  • You are proficient in MS Suite and have familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management System.
  • Prior oversite of CMMS.
  • You have demonstrated the ability to create and sustain a Continuous Improvement culture (e.g., TPM, 5S, Lean, Six Sigma).
  • You have strong leadership and people skills, project management, organization, decision making ability, relationship building and interface well with others.
  • You can work in a fast-paced multi-shift environment.
